Annual military ball schedule and about

Set up 4:00 PM

Leaders apart from the crew will set up  everything that is needed before the ball beguins.

Ball begins 5:00 PM

Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.

Change of Command 5:00 PM- 5:15 PM

Battalion Commanders will exchange caps and Cadet Lieutenant Commander Rodriguez will be the new BC.

Speeches 5:15 PM - 5:45 PM

Through this time leaders and those above will speak during this time.

Awards 5:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Cadets will receive awards.

Drill Performances 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Cadets will preform drills and skits during this time.

Dinner 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Dinner will be served.

Parent Exit 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Parents will exit during this time.

Dance 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Cadets and guest will dance with their dates.

About Us

  • No low or plunging necklines in the front.  
  • Backless dresses are acceptable as long as it does not dip below the small of the back. 
  • No cutouts in the midsection will be allowed.  
  • Side, front, and back slits need to be no higher than halfway between the knee and upper thigh. 
  • Skirts can be worn with the waistband no more than 1 inch below the navel with no exposed midsection. 
  • Strapless dresses are acceptable as long as they adhere to all of the above. Earrings will be the only acceptable body piercings allowed. 
  • Dress length must extend past fingertips. 
  • Body art of any form is prohibited and must be covered.  

  • Facial hair is permitted on high school students as long as it remains neat and trimmed to an allowed length of no longer than one-quarter (1/4) inch. 
  • Hair length for males students shall not be extended below the collar. 
  • Hair must be a natural color. No extreme hairstyles or shaven design-type cuts. All guys must be in a tuxedo or suit. 
  • Cowboy tuxedos are allowed-Starched/steamed jeans in dark blue or black jeans with a suit jacket required. Full-length long-sleeve button-up shirt and tie. Must wear clean cowboy boots with heels.

  •  Females have the option to wear their dress uniform if they choose. Must get approval first.  

  • Mustaches and sideburns are allowed as long as they follow the NJROTC Cadet Field Manual rules (FM-8). No other facial hair is permitted.  Hair should be neat, clean, trimmed, and present a well-groomed appearance (shall not extend below the collar, must be a natural color, no designs shaven into a head, etc.) 
  • as stated in the NJROTC Cadet Field Manual (FM-7).  Males will wear the NJROTC uniform perspective to their rank (if they have a dress uniform, that is what is to be worn, etc.) as stated in the NJROTC Cadet Field Manual.  
  • (FM-16 to FM-19). Uniform needs to be properly worn and composed to properly represent the program (ironed, neatly presented, pins placed properly, etc.). 
  • No piercings are allowed. Other jewelry needs to follow the rules of the NJROTC Cadet Field Manual (FM-8). 
  •  Body art of any form is prohibited and must be covered. 

*All regulations for the Military Ball were taken from the LHS Prom Dress Code and NJROTC Cadet Field Manual as stated for most Military Balls. Please feel free to edit this and give guidance on any changes needed or things to be added.
